Writing Dreams: Having A Post Published On Jenni Schaefer's Website

I found out yesterday that my recovery hero, Jenni Schaefer, published a piece that I wrote on eating disorder recovery on her website! I feel so undeserving of such an honor, but it sure is encouraging!

It was part of her "Dream Big" campaign, where she invites others to write about their recovery for her consideration to publish. Several months ago, I entered a short piece. She liked it and offered an opportunity to submit a longer story. So I did, and she loved it and published it on the blog section of her website this week.

I respect Jenni for so many reasons. She's a published author of several best-selling ED recovery books including Life Without Ed, Goodbye Ed Hello Me, and Almost Anorexic. Jenni is an eating disorder advocate and serves as a fellow, mentor, board member, and director in many organizations. She's a highly sought out speaker. She is a singer and song-writer. Her blog has won numerous awards over the years.

But most importantly, she is fully recovered from her eating disorder and PTSD, and God is using her story to impact millions of people all over this world, including me. She has committed her life to helping others. What an inspiration she is! To know the depths of her story and see where she is today is tangible evidence that full recovery is possible. And I believe with all my heart God will do that for me, too.

So many of the things Jenni does full time are dreams of mine that I pray God will one day allow me to do. My prayer is that He will use my story to help others in whatever way He sees fit, and I'm grateful for Jenni's example.

So the fact that this amazing lady liked my story and chose to publish it on her website is overwhelming. Thank you, Jenni!I'd love for you to read it! It's not as long as most of my posts, so it's a quick read.

I'm so thankful for each of you and your support. God bless you!
